About Us


Dancesport Auckland is a regional body of the New Zealand Dancesport Association (NZDA), the New Zealand member of the International DanceSport Federation (IDSF). The objective of Dancesport Auckland is to further all aspects of Dancesport in New Zealand as a competitive sport, as an art and as a recreational activity.


Dancesport Auckland aims to promote and protect the rights of Auckland dancers including conducting fund raising exercises to secure funds to assist the development of dancers within the Auckland Region.


During the year Dancesport Auckland organises and runs two local competitions in the Auckland region as well as running workshops and private lessons for dancers when the opportunity arises. In 2007 we were fortunate enough to be able to run the inaugural New Zealand Dance Camp with some talented overseas coaches, consisting of a series of lectures, private lessons and the 60th university Diamond Ball.
